My Favorite Christmas Picture Books

I love picture books, even as an adult. I also love Christmas. This time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. The lights, tree, cookies and gift giving all bring me joy. Combining my love of picture books with Christmas delights my soul. Christmas picture books that remind our children of the true meaning of Christmas are at the top of my wish list. Today I thought I’d share my favorite Christmas picture books that point to Jesus.

Add these favorites to your child’s wish list:

Unwrapping the names of Jesus for kids by Asheritah CiuCiu

Room for a Little One by Martin Waddell

Alabaster’s Song: Christmas Through the Eyes of an Angel by Max Lucado

The Legend of St. Nicholas by Dandi Daley Mackall

J is for Jesus by Crystal Bowman

The Christmas Color by Tori Higa

The Legend of the Candy Cane by Lori Walburg

The Sparkle Box by Jill Hardie

Jesus Calling: The Story of Christmas: God’s Plan for the Nativity from Creation to Christ by Sarah Young

The Silent Noisy Night by Jill Roman Lord

What is Christmas? by Michelle Medlock Adams

No matter the age of your kids, picture books are still a joy to read. I pull out all our Christmas picture books every year, even though my kids are teenagers now. I place them on the coffee table in plain sight. Every once in a while, I catch them reading one. I hope you can enjoy some of these wonderful books this season.

Have a Very Merry Christmas!
