Living in the Midwest, I love sharing life with my husband of twenty-one years and our three teenagers. Board games, word games, Blue Bell ice cream, the outdoors, and training for triathlons are a few of my favorite enjoyments. My passions include serving my church and fulfilling my calling in children’s ministry.
In 2005, I received my Master of Arts degree in Educational Ministries and Spiritual Formation from Wheaton College, in Illinois. After 20+ years in children’s ministry, I have begun the journey of writing children’s picture books. God has led me to my wonderful critique groups through Word Weavers and locally, Heartland Christian Writers. Through my blog, I share my writing journey—the ups, the downs and all I am learning.
This journey has brought me out of my comfort zone, is certainly a leap of faith and a lot of hard work. My own three children and the children I’ve met through ministry inspire my writing. As a mom and ministry leader, it’s humbling to be a part of God’s amazing work in the life of a child. We can learn so much from our children. Hopefully, sharing life as a wife and mom through my
blog will encourage and inspire you on your journey as well.
To God be the Glory!
