Living in the Midwest, I love sharing life with my husband of 25 years and our three teenagers. Board games, word games, Blue Bell ice cream, the outdoors, and training for triathlons are a few of my favorite enjoyments. My passions include serving my church and fulfilling my calling in children’s ministry.
In 2005, I received my Master of Arts degree in Educational Ministries and Spiritual Formation from Wheaton College, in Illinois. After 25+ years in children’s ministry, I have begun the journey
of writing for children. I have been published in Clubhouse Jr., Cadet Quest, Starlight magazines, and Keys for Kids devotional. My debut children’s book, The Best Trophy, won the Editors’ Choice Award for excellence from the Christian Editor’s Association.
God has led me to my wonderful critique groups through Word Weavers and locally, Heartland Christian Writers. Through my blog, I share my writing journey—the ups, the downs and all I am learning.
This journey has brought me out of my comfort zone, is certainly a leap of faith and a lot of hard work. My own three children, the children I’ve met through ministry, and sometimes my dogs 😆, inspire my writing. As a mom and ministry leader, it’s humbling to be a part of God’s amazing work in the life of a child. We can learn so much from our children. Hopefully, sharing life as a wife and mom through my blog will encourage and inspire you on your journey as well.
To God be the Glory!
