Looking for ways to cure summer boredom? Want to bond as a family and grow closer to God? I’ve come up with over fifty ideas to help kids have fun this summer and keep on learning. So GO create some memories together.

 

Go Crafting

 

1.      Make your own stickers here

2.      Create a time capsule

3.      Decorate stones with Bible verses or blessings to place in your garden or around your house.

4.      Make a puzzle. Take a photo, print it out, cut it up into pieces and put it back together.

 

Go Cook

 

5.      Make homemade ice cream

6.      Make your own pizzas or calzones

7.      Make s’mores

8.      Cook together. Find some fun recipes here

 

Go Grow with God

 

9.    Write Bible verses with chalk on the driveway

10.   Take a family walk around the neighborhood and pray for your neighbors

11.   Act out a Bible story

12.   Plan a backyard Bible study

13.   Memorize Bible verses

14.   Make a prayer jar with your prayer requests for the summer. Place it on the dinner table.

15.   Create a prayer board. Place somewhere everyone can see it. Put prayer requests on one side and answers to prayer on the other.

16.   Design a blessings box. Each day write down your blessings to put in the box. Share with your family each week.

Go Learn

 

19.   Get away from screens and create a “brain box.” Place learning games, coloring pages, books, puzzles, and other learning activities in the box. Pull it out each day and let kids pick what they want to do.

20.   Capture bugs, check out books to learn about them, take photos and make a journal. Write down what you learn about each bug.

21.   Visit a museum and create a scavenger hunt. Write down new things you learn about different objects.

 

Go Outside
